About Bad Ted Fishing

Bad Ted Fishing is a community of anglers who promote and support the ethical enjoyment of multi-species fishing, especially with friends and family. We fish for a variety of species, in a variety of ways, in a variety of places, and we enjoy our fishing best when we are with friends and family. Our mission here is to encourage you to try a variety of fun fishing experiences with your friends and family and to help you do it.

The blogs are created by Bad Ted, but they are generated by the joy and pleasure of fishing. You can expect blogs about all things fishing related. My friends, family, and I will share the how, what, where, and when of our fishing journey. And we will talk about things you can do to have fun fishing and improve your chances of fishing success.

We also build fishing rods. Bad Ted Friend Lucky Chucky and Bad Ted have a combined 80+ years of amateur rod building experience. Noted guide, lure developer, and big muskie expert Captain Hans the Carver will be working with us to design the rods that he likes best in his multi-species fishing out of Buffalo Harbor. We will be sharing the what and the why of our designs as we field test them. We already have a rod design that is deadly on the monster smallmouth of Lake Erie. I am looking forward to your comments and suggestions for our rod builds.

What is most important at Bad Ted Fishing is having fun fishing. It is easy to forget to do that when we are looking for the biggest, or the most, or constant success. A lot of our fun comes from who we fish with. Or build rods with. Or talk about lure design with. Or go on a trip with. Or when we solve the world’s problems from a boat. If it relates to fishing, we want it to be fun.
